Physician Assistant Angel Espina AGNP, DNP

My Name is Angel Espina, I was born in Venezuela. I earned my medical degree at Central Hospital in Venezuela. I have been in the medical field for the past 30 yrs. I worked in my country as a GI Medical Doctor for 17 years. When I did come to the United States, I decided to become a Nurse Practitioner and I earned my degree at South University in Atlanta Georgia. While I start to work with adult population, I did start to do my Doctorate and I earned my DNP degree.

I treat adult’s patients in a comprehensive manner. I have especial interest in the relationship between digestive disease with a variety of health concerns from common colds to those with chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, anxiety, and obesity. I am most passionate about patient education and helping my patients better understand how diet, exercise, sleep, and other healthy habits can improve their overall health, as well as many chronic illnesses.

I enjoy creating long-standing relationships with my patients and getting to know them through the years while assisting with all their health concerns. My goal each day is to try to make an improvement in the lives of those I care for. This may be by listening to someone who needs to share a story, explaining a health condition to someone in a different or more detailed way, to thinking of alternative ways that patients can incorporate healthy habits into their busy lifestyles

To me, being a doctor is a continuous learning process that I embark on bravely each day, in search of life changing events and miracles. It is more than a profession of integrity and compassion; it is a privilege that measures out my values as a human being and the responsibilities granted to me with the precious gift of life.
