Wankisha Byars, NP, is a dedicated board certified Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of comprehensive nursing experience, including advanced practice expertise as a Nurse Practitioner. She is transitioning her clinical focus into gastroenterology, bringing a strong foundation in wound care and infectious disease management to the specialty.

Ms. Byars has developed extensive clinical proficiency in managing complex wounds, including diabetic ulcers, pressure injuries, and post-surgical complications, as well as treating acute and chronic infections. As she expands into gastroenterology, she is focused on the evaluation and management of gastrointestinal conditions, promoting digestive health, and supporting patients through both acute and chronic GI disorders.

She is committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care, with an emphasis on prevention, early intervention, and individualized treatment plans.
